Anything taken starting in January of 2001 is by my trusty
Canon Powershot S100
digital camera (unless otherwise noted.) Slightly larger than a pack
of playing cards, and with a rechargable lithium ion battery, I can keep
it on my hip all the time for candid shots.
Most photos are presented in the S100's full 1600x1200 resolution. In time, I'll provide smaller 400x300 copies for low-bandwidth or small-screen applications. [9/24/2003] I've replaced the S100 with an S400. The S100 starts up progressively slower as you use larger CF cards, which got really annoying. The stronger optical zoom was attractive, and while I'm planning to stay at the 1600x1200 resolution for day-to-day photos, the full 2272x1704 is useful when I need an effective digital zoom for picking up details at long distances.
